A port in a privileged Mediterranean city
The coastal city of Tarragona and our Port lies on the North-eastern Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula, at latitude 41° 04' North and longitude 1° 12' East. Located just 50 minutes from Barcelona, the sea, rail and air communications make this territory a privileged region on the Mediterranean corridor, and also a strategic enclave in the North-western European arc.

ROAD NETWORK

The road network connects the Port of Tarragona with the rest of the cities in Catalonia, Spain and Europe. This network includes the motorways and dual carriageways of the Mediterranean (AP-7 and A-7), of the North (AP-2 and A-27), the T-11 and the national highways that connect with the rest of Spain: the N-240 and N-340.
AIRPORTS

In addition to Reus airport, which is only 7km away, the proximity of the city of Barcelona allows us to also have connections to Barcelona’s El Prat Airport; one of the most important internationally, and only 45 minutes from our city.
RAILROAD NETWORK
In pursuit of greater connectivity, the Port of Tarragona is already preparing for the arrival of the European gauge (UIC), and to this end has completed various sections of railway line that include these features in their port facilities as a whole. Therefore, once the planning agreed by the European Transport Network (TEN-T) is implemented, regarding the deployment of European gauge (UIC) throughout Spain, Tarragona and the Port will become a strategic node between the Mediterranean corridor and the Central Corridor, thereby strengthening its international positioning even more.

ACCESS
PRIVATE VEHICLES
There are currently three control and access points to the Port zone active. From East to West there is the Moll de Llevant dock access, followed by the Moll de Reus dock access, and finally the Eix Transversal access, primarily intended for carriers.
CARRIERS
If you are drivers of goods vehicles and trucks, you must access via the Eix Transversal. You will see that this has an easy connection to the main road exits towards the A-27, the A-7, the AP-7 motorway and the N-240.
Access to the Port of Tarragona’s Port zone is restricted and must be carried out with an advance authorisation that can be obtained using the SIT/SAP/SAE system.
