Josep Maria Cruset holds his first working meeting with representatives of Dow Tarragona

This Wednesday, the president of the Port of Tarragona, Josep Maria Cruset, was visited in the Port offices by representatives from Dow Tarragona.

Taking part in the meeting were the director of the Dow Tarragona industrial complex and Southern Hub Europe, Jaume Sariol, the director of Logistics and Relations with the Port, Jesús García, and the director of Communications and Institutional Relations and General Services of Dow Tarragona, Josep Boronat. On behalf of the Tarragona Port Authority, in addition to its president, also present were the director general of the Port, Ramón Ignacio García, the Marketing and Business Development director, Genoveva Climent, and the head of Institutional Relations, Marta Virgili.

During the meeting, various matters of interest to both parties and the region as a whole were discussed, including the petrochemical sector infrastructure and the port as a strategic point for receiving and shipping raw materials. Mr Cruset highlighted the excellent, close relations between the Port, the port community and the companies of the area, stating that combined they constitute a strong fabric on which to base the economic development of the territory.

The president of the Port also took the opportunity to explain to the representatives of Dow Tarragona the project for the new ZAL (Logistics Activities Zone) and its accesses and the promotion of new infrastructure. These are just some of the current and future projects designed to reinforce the relations between industry and the port community and to promote cooperation between them.
