The entry into force of Law 39/2015, of October 1st 2015, concerning the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Authorities, and Law 40/2015, of the same date, concerning the Legal System for the Public Sector, brings with it new obligations in relation to electronic records.

In its Article 14, Law 39/2015 establishes that legal persons, and also those who exercise a professional activity that requires licensing, will be obliged to interact with public authorities by electronic means in order to carry out the process of an administrative procedure. Obviously, in the case of the aforementioned individuals, this is only when they intervene precisely in the practice of this professional activity.

For individuals other than those mentioned, relating electronically with the Authorities is a right, not an obligation; i.e. it will be voluntary and they may choose to communicate with the Public Authorities either on paper or by electronic means.

In this sense, via its 'Seu Electrònica' (virtual office) the Port of Tarragona is providing the access point to its procedures and services electronically.

In doing so we are taking one more step in our efforts to bring the authorities closer to the public, attempting to aid the way people relate to the authorities and turning our organisation into a place that is accessible and focused on satisfying our clients’ requirements.

In this way we are placing the Port of Tarragona at your disposal 24 hours a day, 7 days week, every day of the year.
